Throwback to summer

This one was lost somehow in the post-berlin hangover. Here's we, on Noah Francis' birthday, goodlifing at one of Berlin's outdoor mega-pools (little do you know we've left the pool having spied a floater that was loitering suspiciously close to Noah's rear. The camera never lies?!?!?!)

Autumnal Chic: The Return

The look completed courtesy of a hat knitted at the hands of The Lovely Sarah Cannon. Maaaan but his dog works hard!

Life moves pretty fast...

"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop once in a while and look around, you could miss it." Or, zen and the wisdom of Ferris Bueller.

Sleeping beaut

Noah, snoozing in the sling, red-cheeked and dreamy. A fourteen-monther swings between looking suddenly oh-so-growed up and confident on his pins, and gorgeously babyfaced. Important to catch these moments and keep that babydom alive I say (counter to the very British imperative to dress a two-month old baby in smart-casual denim chic).

Wet, wet, wet

Noah does London high life in style (here we are, Thameside, next to the GLA HQ). He couldn't keep away from the fountains so the yellow scandiwegian wundersuit was donned and all was well (and wet) in the world. And how the Japanese tourists suddenly flocked, credit-card thin cameras a-flashing at the sight of our boy in yellow...

Noah does seasonal chic

With a nod to our friends at Luna in Wivenhoe. And Dutton's for Buttons. The best button shop this side of...

Me, papa and our dawg.

Noah takes his pater and his pup for a post-prandial stroll.

Spider mama, spider!

Ok, so only the haze of parental adoration could interpret Noah's "dider" as a label for our hairy eight-legged friends. Suffice to say that this year's arachnid explosion has stirred Noah no end.

Autumnal action

Noah takes a contemplative stroll. His first autumn in the land of awareness.

A belated upload from Berlin... Just too scrumptious not to.

Hey! York can do culture too!

Noah explores colour a la St. Ives' finest.

Mad About the Girl

Noah visibly melts during an Auntie Jess embrace (some say she bought his love with blueberries).

If you're happy and you know it

Ah! Glorious days en famille in Berlin. Jess, Soren, Finley and Tom Elliot Smee treated us to three weeks of bliss in our very favourite city. Noah took to his feet in celebration, and the smiles were never far from our lips.

Eis, glorious eis.

The local Eisery (!?), purveyors of the finest chilli chocolate ice cream known to humanity. Our intention was for Noah to sample it and be discouraged from chocolate forever more. But no. It went down, fierce chilli kick and all. Foiled again.

The air's pretty thin up here...

Uncle Soren gives Noah (in shoes! shoes!) the ride of his life.

A Detour for Corbusier

Oh! Beauty! Thy name is Corbusier kitchen! A recreation of one of The Big C's stunning, efficiently small kitchens from Unite D'habitation in Marseille. Many of his ideas seem presient, given their attention to compact dwellings (and his fundamental of raising all buildings off ground level could have been designed for York...). A retrospective at Martin Gropius Bau, Berlin (along with a stunning and humungous Bauhaus exhibition).

Our Bard Finley 'Greensleeves' Smee

Noah urges Finley to uke that uke just one more time...

Starsky and Hutch on the ET hunt

Finley and Tom Elliot Smee launch their back-the-the-seventies style manifesto. Noah became their first official signatory and is stretching his hair by the day, determined that it kisses his courdrouy'd shoulders by Christmas.

Berliner chic

But the chooks just keep running away...

At one of Berlin's urban farms. The guinea pigs will never quite be the same again...

Birthday Boy!

A pensive Noah rehearses his birthday cake acceptance speech.

Birthday Schenanigans I

Noah is one.... nearly. Why have one party when you can have three? A marvellous luncheon with Family Brown and Ma Smee, followed by a marvellous picnic party avec tipi and bunting galore... Chapter three will follow from Berlin.

Outside the box? That's so last season...

Bike Indoctrination: pt II

Bike Indoctrination: pt 1

OK.... So we've skipped forward almost a year in time now... But the plan is to keep it regularly updated throughout year two of the life of Noah Francis. And i'm trying, trying to find a way to reduce the size of our video files so I can upload them, too.... Anyone know any good free software for such a thing???? x x x
